Cancer Support Team

Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you. - Ps. 55:22

The Cancer Support Team (CAST) is a new support group ministry at Oakwood that provides emotional and spiritual support for women with any type of cancer, including women who are:

• Newly diagnosed
• Currently undergoing treatment
• Cancer survivors
• Caregivers

CAST meets on the first Thursday of every month at Oakwood Community Church. Morning and evening sessions are available, starting at 10:00am and 6:30pm respectively. You do not have to attend Oakwood Community Church to participate - all women from our community are welcome to be a part of the CAST group. So spread the word and tell your friends, family, neighbors and co-workers about the Cancer Support Team.

Lynda Mitchell facilitates the CAST meetings. She is a cancer survivor and a member of Oakwood who has a heart to provide encouragement and support for other women whose lives have been impacted by cancer. For more information, contact Lyn at (248) 303-5942 or lmitchell21@peoplepc.com.
