Join a Small Group

Small Groups are the best place to get connected.  In a Small Group, people study God’s Word together and discuss the issues and challenges of life.  It’s also where they pray and care for one another.  In a Life Group or a Discovery Group, you will experience biblical community, strengthen you faith, build friendships and grow closer to God.

We have over a dozen small groups meeting in locations throughout our community, including Oxford, Lake Orion, Ortonville, Hadley, and Lapeer. Contact Pastor Shane if you have questions or want to join a group. In the near future we will have a list of our available small groups here on the website. You will even be able to register to join a small group online in the fall of 2012.

New Cancer Support Group

Oakwood has recently started a new group ministry called the Cancer Support Team (CAST). This group provides emotional support for women with any type of cancer, as well as survivors and caregivers. The group is facilitated by Lyn Mitchell, who is a cancer survivor herself. The group meets on the first Thursday of every month, with both morning and evening sessions available.
