Women's Ministry

The goal of Oakwood’s Heart-to-Heart Women’s Ministry is to build authentic relationships with the women who God has brought to Oakwood.  We believe that everyone at Oakwood was brought to our church by God for a divine purpose.  Our highest priority is to help women meet Jesus, make Him their Savior and then grow in their knowledge of their Lord.

Heart-to-Heart sponsors many opportunities for women to connect with one another.  Some of the activities and programs sponsored by Heart-to-Heart are Bible Studies, a monthly luncheon, Christmas Tea, Flower Planter Workshop, Simply Sharing, Fall Retreat, Self Defense Class, Summer Picnic, and Moms & Dads Day Out.

LADIES FALL RETREAT

Fri.-Sun., September 26-28, 2014

Renew, Restore, Refresh! Pamper yourself both physically and spiritually at this special women’s retreat. Worship, rest, time in God’s Word, time with sisters-in-Christ, and great food are all included in the weekend package at Grace Adventures located just north of Mus-kegan , Michigan. The camp is on Upper Silver Lake next to the Sand Dunes and Lake Michigan (about a 3½ hour drive from the Oxford/Orion/Ortonville areas). Please note that you must be 18 years old or older to attend the retreat.

Since the year 2003, thousands of women have been directly impacted by hearing Sandy Rayla speak, attending Beautiful Womanhood small groups led by mentors, and applying the Beautiful Womanhood mentoring curriculum. For this retreat, Sandy will be speaking to us about growing in holy confidence. She will share biblical principles, practical tips, and inspiring stories to guide and encourage any woman looking for God’s best in her life.
