Women's Ministry

The goal of Oakwood’s Heart-to-Heart Women’s Ministry is to build authentic relationships with the women who God has brought to Oakwood.  We believe that everyone at Oakwood was brought to our church by God for a divine purpose.  Our highest priority is to help women meet Jesus, make Him their Savior and then grow in their knowledge of their Lord.

Heart-to-Heart sponsors many opportunities for women to connect with one another.  Some of the activities and programs sponsored by Heart-to-Heart are Bible Studies, a monthly luncheon, Christmas Tea, Flower Planter Workshop, Simply Sharing, Fall Retreat, Self Defense Class, Summer Picnic, and Moms & Dads Day Out.

Girls Overnight Getaway

Friday & Saturday, March 8-9, 2013

Pack your bag and enjoy a night out with the girls at a nearby Holiday Inn Express! The overnight will include time to relax and connect with other women. The theme for the retreat will be "What Not to Wear" based off of 1 Peter 3:3-4. Our time together Friday night and Saturday morning will include devotional messages, personal stories, fun activities, as well as group discussion, sharing and prayer. The program starts at 7:00pm on Friday night, but you can arrive as early as 3:00pm for free time to enjoy the pool, shopping, other activities, or grab dinner with other women. The cost is only a $5.00 per person fee plus the hotel room, which is as low as $30.25 with 4 women in a room.
