Prayer Ministry
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened,
and I will give you rest.“
— Jesus, Matthew 11:28 (NIV)
Prayer is spiritual communication between man and God, a two-way
relationship in which man should not only talk to God but also listen to
Him.
There are many promises in God's Word that encourage us to pray, such as:
- He will call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in
trouble; I will deliver him and honor him (Psalm 91:15)
- Before they call I will answer; and while they are speaking, I will hear
(Isaiah 65:24)
- Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the
door will be opened to you (Matthew 7:7)
The Scriptures tell us that we are to pray for one another and also assure
us that God hears and answers prayer. Sometimes it's hard to know how to
pray. Just write your thoughts to God in the space below. Whether your
words are awkward or eloquent, God knows your heart and He understands
your thoughts. When you submit your prayer requests here, many others will be
praying with you.
*We respect your privacy. We do not ask for your last name or e-mail
address, only your prayer request. It will be given to Oakwood church
members who are committed to prayer.
