Leadership Mission Statement
Working as a team, through prayer and the guidance of the Holy Spirit,
our mission is to bring young people into a personal relationship with
Jesus Christ, to disciple them, develop leadership, offer
opportunities for fellowship and service to others in a Christian
atmosphere of acceptance and support; also, to reach out into our
community.
Our focus is:
- Discipleship (2 Peter 1:5,6)
- Fellowship (Hebrews 10:25)
- Service (Ephesians 4:12)
- Leadership (1 Timothy 4:12)
- Outreach (Matthew 28:19)
Youth Group should be:
- Fully integrated into the church (1 Corinthians 12:12-27)
- Promote family unity (Exodus 20:12)
- Strive to model and uphold the highest biblical standards
(1 Timothy 4:12, 1 Peter 1:15, Romans 14:13b,
Ephesians 5:3, Romans 14:22b, 1 John 2:3-6)
Biblical standards should be taught and modeled to all; expected and
encouraged in believers, while expecting less from unbelievers (1
Corinthians 5:12-13). All standards should be upheld .in the most
excellent way. with love (1 Corinthians 13), gentleness (Philippians
4:5), and accepting one another as Christ accepts us (Romans 15:7).
