The purpose of Oakwood’s One Heart Women’s Ministry is to accept and love women of all ages; to encourage and equip them to grow in Christ, and to serve in their families, church, and community.
Our guiding scripture is “There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.” - Ephesians 4:4-5, 16
The women's ministry is led by a group of women who are devoted to a growing and intimate relationship with Jesus Christ and want to share their passion with other women. Each woman on the leadership team has identified her individual gifts and talents so that she can use those strengths to reach out and involve the women at Oakwood. The ministry continues to grow as more and more women volunteer to use their God-given abilities in a variety of ways to love and encourage women of all ages at Oakwood and the surrounding community. You can learn more about our leadership team and find their contact info below.

Come join us for a rich time of fellowship, encouragment, and feasting on God's Word.
Did you know that God's servants, the prophets, revealed who Jesus is and why He came? In fact, the book of Isaiah is sometimes described as the fifth Gospel! The prophets speak messages that were given to them by God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit), to teach us, to warn us, and to encourage us in our faith. No matter where you are in your spiritual journey (from new believers to mature followers of Jesus), the Prophets Isaiah and Jeremiah will be a great study for you! We'd love to have you join us!
We will be using the CSB Scripture Notebooks for Isaiah and Jeremiah, which can be purchased from Lifeway, Christianbook.com or Amazon. If you need assistance purchasing a book, contact Cheryl Bongiorno or Melisa Hall.
Our goal is for the women at Oakwood to be connected to one another - we want Oakwood to be a place where you feel comfortable, known and truly a part of the body of Christ and the ministry!
Bring your camping chair and join us for a relaxing evening around the fire! Enjoy s’mores, good conversation, and a chance to slow down, connect, and enjoy some time together as we kick off a new year together. Sign up is not required but helpful in planning. We look forward to seeing you there!
How can we hold onto assurance of our faith? How can we discern the truth from a lie? How can we know God loves us?
In three short letters, the apostle John reminds an early church facing division, deception, and doubt to hold fast to what they know and to live like they believe it. And he reminds us, as well. In this 10-session Bible study on the letters of 1, 2, and 3, John, Jen Wilkin helps you see how two thousand years later, his words call to Christians in similar challenges to recall a great salvation and to abide in the truth
