Hello Great Family,

It is a beautiful Friday here in Michigan! I hope you are heading into a wonderful weekend. I also hope you will make attending this Sunday a priority. I had a fantastic week of vacation spent with my family. But now I am excited to be home and be with you and preach this Sunday.

Thank you, Pastor Ted and our Elders, for stepping up the past two weekends. I always love getting these men in front of you so that you get to know them and see how blessed we are with leadership at Oakwood.

We will be back in our “Biblical Worldview” series for the next two Sundays. This week the focus will be on why Christianity is unique among world religion. Next Sunday we will be talking through issues we all face and how the Bible informs our decisions.

Also, this Sunday we will have a “Fireside Chat” to give you an update on our “Paving The Road Ahead” project. We received important news this week that I am excited to share with you. We now have some firm dates on a start date for the project. I will also give an update on our progress reaching our $300,000.00 goal by December.

Our OSM (Oakwood Student Ministries) has an outreach event this Sunday night. Oakwood’s new youth ministry intern will be presenting the Gospel. Pray that our OSM families will invite many friends and that the event will be effective. If anyone wants to donate toward the “World’s Largest” Banana Split, please see me on Sunday.
