Hello Great Family,

It is here! It has finally begun! Construction has started on our parking lot!! Well... more like destruction at this point. The old asphalt has been removed leaving us a dirt parking lot with no parking stripes. We are going to need your patience and cooperation for the next several weeks to help us avoid chaotic Sunday mornings. Here is what I am asking you to do:

  • Arrive early - give yourself an extra 10 to 15 minutes each Sunday
  • Be patient - prepare yourself for a slower than usual parking process
  • Listen to instructions - there will be people in bright colored vests helping you park as close to where the parking spaces had been
  • Help children - Please keep your children close to you and avoid letting them just run through a potentially dangerous area
  • Elderly and Handicap parking - The elderly and handicap (ONLY) should drive right up to the building in the grass just west of the main entrance doors this week (this will change next week)

I realize that we could be in for some frustrating Sundays over the next few weeks but the big picture is that progress is being made and a few weeks of difficulty will soon be forgotten when we have a new parking lot with a covered drop-off turn around and additional parking by a brand new pavilion.  That is all worth the hassle!!!!

I included some pictures from the ground breaking this past Wednesday. Notice the smile on my face? Take a look and enjoy!

This Sunday will be our last "one service" Sunday in the summer schedule. Starting Sunday, September 7th, we will be back to our regular service schedule of two services (9am & 11am). I will also be wrapping up our sermon series, "Biblical Worldview" with a sermon about the reality of Hell. We will be looking through Scripture asking, "Is Hell real and is it necessary?" I hope to see you here this Sunday!

God Bless,
P.D. (Psalm 139)
