Hello Great Family,

Trusting your Thanksgiving day was filled with love, joy and peace. I pray you were able to pause long enough to count your blessings and thank God for Who He is, what He has done, and what He will do in the future. Psalm 34:8 "Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him."

The blessings will continue through the weekend at Oakwood. This Sunday, Carter Findlay (Oakwood's youth ministry intern) will be preaching at both services. This is his first opportunity to preach and I have promised him that you are a safe and loving family. Come support this young man in his pursuit of ministry.

We are going to get some snow this weekend but don't let that keep you from joining us if you are safe to do so. This Sunday will also be filled with so many blessings. You can expect:

  • Energetic and encouraging worship... including the cardboard testimonies presentation we have worked on for the past few weeks.
  • Oakwood Cares Video - This will explain the "what" and "why" of our annual Oakwood Cares offering (Offering on December 7th - online giving open all December).
  • Oxford Remembrance Day - this Sunday marks four years since the tragedy at Oxford High School. We will pause to remember and pray for our community and our schools.
  • Hope Buckets - Sponsor a "Hope Bucket" ($30) for our friends at Hope Endeavors to distribute at Hope Village in Malawi this Christmas.

You will be happy you participated this Sunday. It will be a wonderful, encouraging day! I'm looking forward to sharing it with you!

God Bless,
P.D. (Psalm 139)
