Hello Great Family,

In a little over a month (March 11) Oakwood begins another six-week session of Family Nights on Wednesday evenings. After serving free dinner from 5:30pm to 6pm - Children will be sent to Treehouse where they experience a high-energy opportunity for them to learn about God and grow in their faith; Adults will gather in the Worship Center for a brief prayer time together before breaking into Equipping Groups. I want to challenge and encourage you to participate. Have you self-evaluated to determine which Equipping Group to attend? Here are the descriptions of each group to help you determine which one to sign-up for:

LAUNCH Group facilitated by Jeff Moore...hopefully! (as soon as he can confirm)

Learning the basics, spiritual habits, understanding beliefs

“LAUNCH” is perfect for newer Christians or anyone who wants a solid refresh on the foundations of faith. This class gets you rooted in the essentials of Christian belief while building healthy spiritual habits such as prayer, Bible reading, and worship. Participants will gain basic clarity on what they believe and why, helping them feel confident as they begin living out their faith in everyday life.

LIVE Group facilitated by Pastor Ted Jones

Obedience, character growth, serving

“LIVE” focuses on deepening your faith through obedience and intentional spiritual growth. This class emphasizes growing in Bible knowledge and developing personal study habits that help participants understand God’s Word and apply it to everyday life. As faith is strengthened through Scripture, individuals will be challenged to live out their beliefs through Christ-like character, wise choices, and serving others. LIVE is about understanding who God is and then allowing God’s Word to shape how we think, act, and love in our homes, workplaces, and communities.

LEAD Group facilitated by Pastor Don Jackson

Mentoring, responsibility, multiplying disciples

“LEAD” is for those ready to invest in others and step into spiritual leadership. This class emphasizes mentoring, taking responsibility, and helping others grow in their faith. Participants will learn how to lead by example, disciple others intentionally, and multiply what God is doing in their own lives. LEAD equips individuals to make a lasting impact by raising up the next generation of disciples.

Once you determine which group you need to participate with, please go to www.oakwoodcc.org and click on the “Grow” tab then click on the “Adults” tab then click on “Equipping Groups” then click the registration link for the group you want or you can sign up at the Oak on any Sunday before March 1st. Don’t wait! Each group needs to prepare material for the number of participants and be assigned an appropriately sized meeting space. Sign up now to help us serve you better.

This Sunday we will be in Acts chapter 12. Take the time to read through this passage and come Sunday to hear about, “Persecution, Prayer, and the Power of God”. Looking forward to being with God's great family at Oakwood this Sunday!
