Hello Great Family,

This weekend is Memorial Day weekend. It has become known as the unofficial start of summer. In Michigan, the roads will be packed with people heading north to enjoy camping, boating, hiking, kayaking, grilling outdoors and a host of other summer activities. While all of that is great and fun, I want to encourage you to remember those who laid down their lives in sacrifice for this country.  The freedom we enjoy in the United States of America did not come for free. It comes at a great cost, and we would not have the country we do today if not for the brave men and women who have given the greatest sacrifice, their lives.

Perhaps you can take a drive to a local cemetery (or one of our national ones) and honor those who died in service. Pause for a moment to say a prayer for all the families who have an empty seat at the table on this Memorial Day. Be sure to take the time in remembrance of the sacrifice it took for us to be able to enjoy another changing of the seasons and as we should do every day…thank God for the sacrifice of His own son Jesus.

John 15:13, “Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.”

God Bless,
P.D. (Psalm 139)
