Hello Great Family,

It is a beautiful Friday here in Michigan. As I sat out on my deck drinking coffee this morning, I was profoundly aware of an incredible feeling...PEACE & CONTENTMENT.  What a blessing to not be in "want" or "need" of anything. Don't get me wrong, everything is not perfect. It is the end of the month and there is not much money left in the account; the grass should be mowed again soon; I'm juggling a million details for our weekend gatherings; trying to book tickets to Dubai to visit my daughter and prices keep rising; my doctor told me at my annual physical to lose weight and drink less coffee; the list goes on and on. That's life!

Back to my deck and the coffee I should have less of... How can any of us experience PEACE & CONTENTMENT? Nobody's life is free from stress and worries. The answer is found in the first eight words of Psalm 23, "The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing." Years ago I asked Jesus to forgive me of my sins and come into my life as Savior and Lord. Now I can say like David, "The Lord is my shepherd". Having Him lead my life means I lack nothing. That does not mean I get everything I want but it does mean I have everything I truly need and when you have everything you truly need, you can experience PEACE & CONTENTMENT.  It is hard for the world to comprehend. That is why it is called a "peace beyond understanding".

We will talk more about this on Sunday in our closing session of, "Giants MUST fall". We have a great champion in Jesus and He has defeated our giants. Through Him PEACE & CONTENTMENT are in reach. Come hear more about this Sunday morning at 10am and be ready for some energetic worship (on a 5th Sunday they let P.D. loose). A baptism service will follow at Stony Lake in Oxford at 11:45am.
