Hello Great Family,

...and then it was May.  Wow, how time flies and seasons change! I read a nice devotional this morning about spring and restoration that will go very well with my sermon this Sunday. Here are portions of the devotional from "Living A Fruitful Life".

As I watch the first buds appear on the trees and hear the songs of birds returning from their winter retreat, I can’t help but reflect on how spring is woven into the fabric of God’s creation and His Word. It is a season of new beginnings, fresh growth, and divine restoration. Just as the earth awakens after the cold of winter, God offers us spiritual renewal and revival.

The Bible mentions spring in several ways—through the changing of seasons, the promise of new life, and even the imagery of living water. As we explore what Scripture teaches about spring, I pray this post will bring you encouragement and hope for whatever season you are in.

Spring reminds us that God is faithful. No matter how harsh the winter may be, the new season always comes. Maybe you’ve been through a difficult time—a personal "winter"—but just as sure as spring follows winter, God’s promises of renewal stand firm.

Spring is a perfect time to evaluate where we are spiritually. Are we growing? Are we being nourished by His Word? Or have we remained dormant, like a tree in winter?

Have you ever felt like you were in a spiritual winter? Maybe you’ve experienced loss, uncertainty, or trials. The good news is that God does not leave us in our barren seasons forever. He brings renewal in His perfect timing.

Spring is also the season of Easter, celebrating the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The resurrection is the greatest example of life triumphing over death, just as spring overcomes the barrenness of winter.

Let’s take advantage of this beautiful season and draw closer to Him. Whether through time in His Word, prayer, or stepping out in faith for something new, let’s embrace this season of renewal. As we step into this new season, I encourage you to take time for personal renewal. Pray and ask God to reveal areas of growth in your life.

Hope to see you this Sunday as we open the Bible and look at Acts 3:1-26 and talk about God's plan of restoration.

God Bless,
P.D. (Psalm 139)
