Hello Great Family,
As I sit down to write to you today, my heart is filled with deep gratitude for each one of you. Whether you've been walking with us for years or have just recently joined our fellowship, know that you are a cherished part of this community. You matter here—your presence, your prayers, your service, and your faith are building blocks in the beautiful work God is doing in and through our great family at Oakwood Community Church.
We’ve been through seasons of joy and seasons of challenge, but through it all, the faithfulness of God has never wavered. And neither has your faith. I see it in your worship, your love for one another, and your desire to grow. It reminds me of Paul's words to the Philippians: "I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel..." (Philippians 1:3–5).
As we look ahead to the coming weeks and months, I want to encourage you to keep pressing in—to God's Word, to prayer, and to each other. Let’s keep showing up. Let’s keep loving deeply. Let’s keep trusting that even when we can't see the full picture, God is at work writing a story far greater than we could imagine.
If you’re walking through a difficult time right now, please know you are not alone. Your church family is here for you. I’m here for you. Let’s continue to be a place where burdens are shared and where hope is found in Christ alone.
In all things, may we be reminded that we serve a risen Savior who walks beside us, goes before us, and promises to complete the good work He has begun in each of us.
Looking forward to seeing you this Sunday for a special day at Oakwood. We will continue our “Biblical Worldview” series by explaining the meaning of life and how God is good. Worship is going to be like a worship event. The Kluck family will be leading us in an extended time of worship, and they are very good at what they do! Come participate…remember, you are in the band not an audience. See you Sunday!
God Bless,
P.D. (Psalm 139)
